The Land Rover Discovery 2017 is the second model to be released under the Land Rover Discovery family of leisure models. Land Rover Discovery 2017 – Exterior and Interior:

The Land Rover Discovery 2017 is much slimmer and sleeker compared to previous models by the British manufacturer. This is because of a new bonded and riveted aluminum monologue, which is also present in more recent Range Rover models and the presence of wrap-around tail lights. The front gives the car a softer approach, while the rear window is raked slightly with a spoiler style surround. Unlike the previous box-style model, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery will have a more curvaceous exterior.

The cabin of the Land Rover Discovery 2017 is based on a concept model, which fuses a modern design with a lot of gadgets and features like a large central touchscreen for the entertainment and information systems. This model will be a seven seater, with configurable middle and rear seats, to allow the car to remain a practical SUV. The storage space provided is ample. The car has a lot of room and should still feel spacious, even with seven people inside.

Aside from the large touchscreen feature already explained above, another key feature of the model is an in-built laser head-up display (HUD), which works together with the new Transparent Bonnet Technology. The Transparent Bonnet Technology works by feeding images to the head-up display, via a camera that is mounted at the front of the car. With this feature, drivers are able to view the lower side of the car and see what is there. It also features a gesture-controlled JLR rotary gear selector. The lights and indicators are also gesture-controlled. Additionally, the model packs a remote drive, which allows the driver to exit the car and control it using their smart phone, say, when parking.

Land Rover Discovery 2017 –  Engine Specs:

Information about the Land Rover Discovery 2017 engine is still unclear, but the model could pack a 2.0 JLR Ingenium engine for the entry-level models, while the high-end models could be built with 3.0 petrol and diesel engines. It is also highly likely that the manufacturer will offer a hybrid version, which will come with a 2.0-liter Ingenium engine and an electric motor. Here in the United States, the base option for the engine is most likely to be a six-cylinder option. All options of the Land Rover Discovery 2017 are expected to have an eight-speed automatic transmission system. It is expected that it will have a horsepower of over 240 and a torque of 251 pound foot. It can go from 0 to 100 in 7.5 seconds. The performance is also highly likely to be better than most previous models by the manufacturer, due to inclusion of an AWD system and an improved version of Terrain Response.
